Karen Chan, a fourth-year urban planning student at the University of Waterloo, is the recipient of the inaugural Mark Bain P3 Scholarship.

The $5,000 annual scholarship is open to undergraduate and post-graduate students entering their final year at a Canadian university who are enrolled in business, engineering, law or other relevant discipline for the 2024-2025 academic year.
One (1) award will be presented to a student based on a paper prepared on a topic directly relevant to infrastructure public-private partnerships (P3s) in Canada. This is a paper already prepared and submitted as part of a student’s coursework.

Please note that immediate family of sitting CCPPP board and staff members are not eligible to apply.
Evaluation Criteria
All submissions will undergo a 3-stage evaluation process, including a final evaluation by leading representatives from the Council’s board of directors.
Announcement of Results
The successful applicant will be notified in July 2024, with the scholarship cheque awarded in September 2024.
