In fall 2023, CCPPP will open submissions for the inaugural year of the Mark Bain P3 Scholarship. The $5,000 annual scholarship is open to final year undergraduate and post-graduate students enrolled in business, engineering or law at a Canadian university.
I'm deeply honoured to have the Council name a scholarship after me. Supporting our next generation of leaders is incredibly important for Canada to continue its innovative approach to infrastructure, ensuring our communities have the very best infrastructure assets and services available to them for decades to come.
Known as a soft-spoken, diplomatic, meticulous and collaborative leader at the table, and an effective negotiator, Bain is consistently named one of the top lawyers in his field with an incredibly deep knowledge of the ‘made in Canada’ P3 model and the intricacies of project agreements. Over the past 30 years, he has acted on more than 80 major P3 transactions. In 2022, he stepped down as chair of the Council's board of directors.
