CCPPP welcomes 8 new members to its 2021-2022 Board of Directors
TORONTO (November 30, 2021) — The Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships is pleased to announce its 2021-2022 Board of Directors. The 30-person board was elected today virtually by member organizations at the Council’s annual general meeting. Given the unique nature of the Council, directors come from both the public and private sector. For this coming year, the board is welcoming eight new members.
“We’re pleased to welcome our new 30-member board, which includes a diverse mix of experts intimately involved in the infrastructure and public-private partnership sphere across Canada,” said Mark Bain, Partner, Torys LLP and Chair, CCPPP. “We’re also delighted to welcome our new President and CEO Lisa Mitchell, who officially joins the Council next week.
“This is an exciting time for the Council and the sector, with governments committing significant investments to build and maintain the country’s critical infrastructure,” he continued. “There is also tremendous discussion — and debate — on how best to approach this work, from the pros and cons of different models to how to ensure what we build and maintain is resilient in the face of climate change and is inclusive so our communities truly benefit. Our board members will play an active role in helping shape and steer the Council’s positioning on these issues.”
