PREMIER GOLD – GENERAL SESSION
$20,000
Four (4) Opportunities — AVAILABLE
General Sessions are available on Day 1 and Day 2 of the conference and are an opportunity to display your organization’s significant thought leadership and expertise on important topical issues for the infrastructure sector in front of the largest attendance by conference delegates.
The Council has selected
four main topic areas for the General Sessions in 2026, enabling interested sponsors to ensure their brand is showcased in the most strategic way possible. If more than one sponsor requests a General Session topic, the Council will speak with each organization individually to hear their pitch on how they would approach the topic and potential speakers they might have in mind before making a final determination. We are also open to additional ideas.
The topics are (in no particular order):
- Trade Diversification: As Canada recalibrates its trade strategy and searches for new trade partners, infrastructure is emerging as the backbone of a more diversified, resilient economy. This session will explore how trade diversification is translating into tangible infrastructure opportunities — and what that means for institutional investors, developers, Indigenous partners and governments. Where is the next bankable pipeline emerging? How can public policy de-risk projects and crowd in private capital? And how can procurement models evolve to ensure speed, certainty, and long-term asset performance?
- Political Risk Calculation: 2025 and 2026 have introduced significant risk in U.S-Canada relations, the intricacies of maintaining the Canadian dominion and rapidly changing global circumstances are shaping infrastructure demands in ways that could not have been predicted 10 years ago. The drive to survive and thrive in this time of rupture is placing significant weight on infrastructure and priorities are skyrocketing. How are infrastructure experts rising above this (or are they)? What should take precedence when it comes to selecting projects? How do you price risk in this environment? Is there any way to separate infrastructure planning from political motivations?
- Defence: Canada is making significant investments in its defence capabilities, procuring new military ships, icebreakers, aircraft and other equipment as a way of meeting ambitious NATO spending targets in a changing global order. How can smart infrastructure investment and innovative financing models support the development of modern bases, military housing and dual-use infrastructure? What role will the inaugural Defence Industrial Strategy play? And what are we not focusing on that we should be in making these goals achievable for Canadians?
- Northern Development and Arctic Sovereignty: The Arctic is front and centre in global economic and defence conversations as shipping routes continue to open up. Yet, Canada’s most northern communities continue to face infrastructure gaps that limit health, economic development and resilience. Can infrastructure in Canada’s Far North really deliver on two widely different goals: increasing military capabilities and finally delivering critical infrastructure for Indigenous peoples? How will the push-pull of dual use work? What role should private companies play and should they pay for access to all-season roads etc.?
