• The Department of Finance and Administration has established a specialist Public Private Partnerships Unit whose primary role is to: 1) Provide advice to the Australian Government and government agencies on the use of PPP arrangements; 2) Assess specific PPP proposals; and 3) Oversee, on behalf of the Australian Government, the application and development of PPP policy.

• Established in 2008, Infrastructure Australia is an independent statutory advisory council with 12 members drawn from industry and all levels of government, including five from the private sector. The site contains the National Public Private Partnership Policy and Guidelines, which were endorsed in November 2008 and will replace the previously existing guidelines in all Australian, State and Territory Government agencies.

• The National PPP Forum brings together representatives from each of the Australian, State and Territory Governments and aims to facilitate greater consistency and cooperation across Australian regional jurisdictions in the provision of infrastructure through PPP’s. The “National Pipeline” section of the website contains an overview of current and potential future projects.
