PPP Procurement

British Columbia has emerged as a leader in the development of public-private partnerships in Canada. Ensuring a highly efficient and effective competitive procurement process will attract lenders, investors and contractors and will help strengthen the B.C. market.

Given the province's experience, CCPPP in cooperation with the BC Chapter of The Council and Partnerships BC, undertook an organized outreach to more than 25 organizations to obtain market feedback. The primary goals of the market articulated in this report are: to reduce time taken during the procurement process; to reduce procurement costs for both the public and private sectors; to achieve optimal risk transfer in projects; and, to drive consistency in standardizing procurement documents.
