Many consider the municipal level to be the next frontier for public-private partnerships in Canada. As fiscal restraints continue to challenge municipalities to consider new forms of infrastructure developmnent and service delivery, P3s may offer the right mix of value for money and lifecycle maintenance that will help address the infrastructure deficit.

The CCPPP-hosted event, with over 370 people attending, featured two of Alberta's municipal leaders and the CEO of PPP Canada as they discussed the challenges and opportunities for municipal P3 in the province and beyond. Premier Ed Stelmach, CCPPP's Honorary Chair and a strong, long-standing supporter of P3s in Alberta, provided opening remarks.
